【摘要】:ArseniccompoundsaresuspectedtocausecorrosioninsomematerialsusedinUF6handlingequipment.Arsenicoriginatesasacontaminantinfluorspar(CaF2)usedtoproduceanhydroushydrogenfluoridewhichisusedsubsequentlyintheproductionofUF6.ThesetestmethodsareusedtomeasurethearseniccontentinUO2F2solutionspreparedfromthehydrolysisofUF6fordeterminationofconformancetoSpecificationC787.1.1Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletothedeterminationoftotalarsenicinuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)byatomicabsorptionspectrometry.Twotestmethodsaregiven:TestMethodA-ArsineGeneration-AtomicAbsorption(Sections),andTestMethodB-GraphiteFurnaceAtomicAbsorption().1.2Thetestmethodsareequivalent.Thelimitofdetectionforeachtestmethodis0.1gAs/gUwhenusingasamplecontaining0.5to1.0gU.TestMethodBdoesnothavethecompletecollectiondetailsforprecisionandbiasdatathusthemethodappearsasanappendix.1.3TestMethodAcoversthemeasurementofarsenicinuranylfluoride(UO2F2)solutionsbyconvertingarsenictoarsineandmeasuringthearsinevaporbyflameatomicabsorptionspectrometry.1.4TestMethodButilizesasolventextractiontoremovetheuraniumfromtheUO2F2solutionpriortomeasurementofthearsenicbygraphitefurnaceatomicabsorptionspectrometry.1.5BothinsolubleandsolublearsenicaremeasuredwhenUF6ispreparedaccordingtoTestMethodC761.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
