【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsaretoolsforqualityassuranceuse.Givenspecificpressure-sensitivetapeandarequirementintermsoftheminimumormaximumpeelvalueexpectedforthistape,thedatafromthetestcanbeusedinconjunctionwithacceptancecriteria.TestMethodA,B,C,E,orFcanshowtherelativebondstrengthofagiventapetooneormoresurfaces(materialandtexture)ascomparedtothestandardstainlesssteelpanel.Substitutionofrepresentativesamplesofmaterialsinquestionforthestandardsteelpanelwouldsufficetodothis.TestMethodsA,B,C,EorFcannotbeusedtocomparetwopressure-sensitivetapesofthesametypebutofdifferentmanufacturefortheirabilitytoadheretoasurface.Thisisbecausethemeasuredpeelforceisnotnormalizedforafixedareaofstress.Theareaunderstressvarieswithbackingstiffnessandadhesiverheology(firmness).Twodifferenttapesseldomagreeintheseproperties.TestMethodDcanshowtheamountofforcerequiredtoremovealinerthatcoverstheadhesivesideofatapeataspecifiedpeelrate.Theforcewillbedifferentatotherpeelrates.Thesetestmethodsmaynotprovidedesigninformationasthereisusuallynodirectrelationshipbetweenpeeladhesionandanyfunctionalrequirement.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthemeasurementofthepeeladhesionofpressure-sensitivetapes.1.1.1TestMethodAgivesameasureoftheadherence,whenpeeledat180x00B0;angle,toastandardsteelpanelortoothersurfaceofinterestforasingle-coatedtape.1.1.2TestMethodBgivesameasureoftheadherencetothebackingofasingle-coatedtape.1.1.3TestMethodCgivesameasureoftheadherenceofdouble-coatedtapetoastandardsteelpanelorothersurfaceofinterest.1.1.4TestMethodDgivesameasureoftheadherenceofthereleaselinertotheadhesiveofeithersingle-ordouble-coatedtape.1.1.5TestMethodEgivesameasureoftheadherenceofanadhesivetransfertapetoastandardsteelpanelorothersurfaceofinterest.1.1.6TestMethodFgivesameasureoftheadherence,whenpeeledat90x00B0;angle,toastandardsteelpanelorothersurfaceofinterestforasingle-coatedtape.1.2Thesetestmethodsprovideameansofassessingtheuniformityoftheadhesionofagiventypeofpressure-sensitiveadhesivetape.Theassessmentmaybewithinarolloftape,betweenrolls,orbetweenproductionlots.1.3Variationsineitherthetapebackingortheadhesive,orboth,affecttheresponse.Therefore,thesetestmethodscannotbeusedtopinpointthespecificcause(s)ofnon-uniformity.1.4Thesetestmethodsmaynotbeappropriatetotesttapeshavingrelativelystiffbackings,stiffliners,orbackingsshowinghighstretchatlowforces.Thesecharacteristicswillresultinahighvariabilityforthetestresponsewhichisnotatrueindicationoftherealnatureoftheadhesivebond.1.5ValuesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents,therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlywithoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheresistanceofplasticstobreakagebyflexuralshockasindicatedbytheenergyextractedfromstandardized(seeNote0)pendulum-typehammers,mountedinstandardizedmachines,inbreakingstandardspecimenswithonependulumswing.Thistestmethodrequiresspecimenstobemadewithamillednotch(seeNote0).Thenotchproducesastressconcentrationwhichpromotesabrittle,ratherthanaductile,fracture.Theresultsofthistestmethodarereportedintermsofenergyabsorbedperunitofspecimenwidth(seeNote0).Note0Themachineswithpendulum-typehammershavebeenstandardizedinthattheymustcomplywithcertainrequirementsincludingafixedheightofhammerfall,whichresultsinasubstantiallyfixedvelocityofthehammeratthemomentofimpact.Hammersofdifferentinitialenergies(producedbyvaryingtheireffectiveweights),however,arerecommendedforusewithspecimensofdifferentimpactresistance.Moreover,manufacturersoftheequipmentarepermittedtousedifferentlengthsandconstructionsofpendulumswithpossibledifferencesinpendulumrigiditiesresulting(seeSection).Beawarethatotherdifferencesinmachinedesigndoexist.Note0Thespecimensarestandardizedinthattheyhaveafixedlengthandfixeddepth,however,thewidthofthespecimensispermittedtovarybetweenlimits.Onedesignofmillednotchisallowed.Thenotchinthespecimenservestoconcentratethestress,minimizeplasticdeformation,anddirectthefracturetothepartofthespecimenbehindthenotch.Scatterinenergy-to-breakisthusreduced.Becauseofdifferencesintheelasticandviscoelasticpropertiesofplastics,however,responsetoagivennotchvariesamongmaterials.Note0Cautionmustbeexercisedininterpretingtheresultsofthistestmethod.Thefollowingtestingparametershavebeenshowntoaffecttestresultssignificantly:methodofspecimenfabrication,includingbutnotlimitedtoprocessingtechnology,moldingconditions,molddesign,andthermaltreatment;methodofnotching;speedofnotchingtool;designofnotchingapparatus;qualityofthenotch;timebetweennotchingandtest;testspecimenthickness;testspecimenwidthundernotch;andenvironmentalconditioning.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note4ThisstandardresemblesISO179intitleonly.Thecontentissignificantlydifferent.
